Building an inclusive and accessible community

Our objectives

The Human Rights Office seeks to ensure that persons with disabilities have genuine, open and unhindered access to University services, facilities, accommodations, communications, events, employment and public spaces.

The Accessibility hub is a central online resource for accessibility at uOttawa. The Hub houses tools and resources to help students, educators, and administrators identify and remove barriers to accessibility and provide support for individuals on campus experiencing mental health issues. The Hub helps promote and foster inclusion and improve accessibility for everyone on our campus by:

  • Facilitating support and feedback related to accessibility initiatives
  • Providing an online community for those seeking information on disability and accessibility issues on campus
  • Developing policies, practices and procedures that ensure compliance with the AODA
  • Providing information and advice to prevent incidents

Providing feedback
