The anti-racism and anti-hate Hub help the University meet the following objectives, in alignment with the Legal framework on anti-racism and anti-hate :
- To increase awareness of, and ease of access to, uOttawa policies and processes
- To preserve integrity and public trust in our university
- To improve transparency in policies and response to incidents of racism and hate at the University.
To help meet these objectives, the anti-racism and anti-hate Hub provides information on how the University is promoting a safe, inclusive and respectful campus free from harassment and discrimination, including:
- Sections of the University of Ottawa policies and procedures relevant to anti-racism and anti-hate.
- Plans and reports about the University’s activities to achieve the requirements and expectations outlined in the Legal framework on anti-racism and anti-hate.
- Links to information on campus initiatives to help foster a positive, respectful and inclusive student experience, free from racism and hate
Who this hub is for
The University of Ottawa has policies to help address anti-racism and anti-hate that applies to the whole University community. This hub is for the University community, including students, faculty, staff, management and visitors, including guest speakers.
