Simply download the app now from the App Store or the Google Play Store to get started creating your account. Occasional users now have the choice of paying for parking directly from a credit card (“Pay & Go”), or if you’re a frequent parker you can pre-load an e-wallet to avoid recurring processing fees. If you don't want to download the app right away, you can also go to www.htsp.ca from your phone or computer's web browser. The same app and e-wallet can be used for any HotSpot-enabled municipality or parking facility, including at Carleton University.

HotSpot charges a small convenience fee to use the app, but the ability to reclaim unused time – even if it’s only a few minutes! -- should quickly pay for itself. And you can request a refund of whatever is left in your e-wallet if you ever want to close your account. Please note that refunds are only possible with the e-wallet option, and doesn’t apply to Park & Go users.
