David is fluently bilingual with significant experience in providing advisory services required for the successful planning, procurement, financing and implementation of major infrastructure and real estate projects
Before creating his own firm, Sage Project Advisors in 2018, David served as Vice-President in Deloitte Canada’s Infrastructure Advisory Practice, where he led teams which prepared business cases, options analyses and project roadmaps on behalf of project owners for their infrastructure and real estate projects. David also designed and implemented novel procurement approaches and managed public procurements on owners’ behalf.
David served as Vice-President, Project Delivery, at Infrastructure Ontario (IO) where he led teams of IO staff and consultants (procurement, finance, technical and legal) for the proper planning, budgeting, procurement and construction of P3 hospital projects
In 2005, David was selected one of Canada’s “Top 40 under 40” In-House Legal Counsel for his work as in-house legal counsel with the SNC-Lavalin Group of Companies. He is trained in both common and civil law and a member of the Ontario Bar and Quebec Bar
Currently, David is President of Sage Project Advisors, a consultancy which provides due diligence, partnering, risk analysis, project development and management services to private sector clients on potential real estate projects/investments. He also provides business case, procurement and transaction advisory services to public sector and not for profit entities relevant to their capital projects
David’s prior Board experience includes having served on the Board of Directors of Dorothy Ley Hospice (Etobicoke) and Equitas, a Montreal-based not for profit organization which provides human rights education/training in Canada and internationally. His volunteer work currently includes mentoring at Massey College, University of Toronto (Meeting of the Minds Mentoring Program).
