This workshop takes place over two sessions:

In today’s rapidly evolving academic landscape, university administrators face unprecedented challenges. From financial constraints and shifting political climates to the transformative impacts of technology and evolving student expectations, the need for adept change leadership is increasingly important.
Our two-session workshop is designed to equip academic leaders with the essential skills to navigate these complexities.
Participants will explore the principles of creating a compelling vision for the future, securing buy-in, and managing opposition, all within the context of collegial governance where traditional command-and-control approaches are ineffective. Then we'll offer hands-on exercises that prepare academic leaders for the real-world rigors of change management.
In a nutshell, the first session delves into the nature of change as a complex problem, emphasizing strategic vision and stakeholder engagement. The second session provides practical opportunities to rehearse challenging conversations, ensuring participants are ready to lead their institutions through necessary transformations.
