Orientation for New Academic Leaders
Sep 23, 2024 to Oct 2, 2024 — 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Orientation for New Academic Leaders
As part of our development plan for faculty members and librarians, we organize every year an orientation for new academic leaders (recently appointed program directors, department chairs, school directors, vice deans, vice-provosts or faculty members and librarians in similar positions of service at our University).
This event is spread across several days:
- Monday, September 23 (9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ): Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS), room 4004
- Tuesday, September 24 (9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.): Johnson Hall (Alex Trebek Alumni Hall, room 116)
- Wednesday, October 2, 2024 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.): Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS), room 4004
It will have information sessions, panels, and networking activities to prepare you to initiate your mandate with the right tools.
*You're invited to join if:
- you are a new leader who started or will be starting an academic leadership mandate in 2024.
- you are a new leader who will be starting an academic leadership mandate in the winter of 2025.
- you are a new leader from the 2023 cohort that was not able to join last year's orientation.
