An online knowledge-sharing session and roundtable discussing Truth and Reconciliation with Mona, Dara, and Mike, members of the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation. The panel will explore topics like Residential Schools and current-day Indigenous realities and education. Moderated by Jean-Philippe Thivierge.
Event description
This special activity, presented by the Decolonization and Indigenizing Committee of the Faculty of Social Sciences, is an online roundtable with Mona Tolley, Dara Wawatie-Chabot, and Mike Diabo, all from the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation. The panel will discuss Residential Schools in Canada and link the topic to current Indigenous realities and education. Participants can engage through a Q&A session to explore best practices for educators and administrators.
