To start on the right foot, there are a few things you must do and know before your first day on the job at uOttawa.

• Get the password for your uOttawa accounts. As stated in your uOttawa welcome letter, call the Service Desk at 613-562-5000 or ext. 5000for internal calls, with your employee number to obtain your initial uoAccess password.
• Reset your uoAccess password to ensure its confidentiality
• Enroll into multi-factor authentication (MFA) - required for academic and support personnel to access many of the University systems
• Use Office 365 to access your email

It's your first day on the job. Time to settle in!

• Set up your voicemail
• Complete the mandatory digital self-defence training within your first week
• Access the wireless network
• Access secured resources on the uOttawa network on and off campus (VPN)
