The LPR 286 classroom is a step forward for the quality of services to students and professors at the University of Ottawa. This classroom is at the forefront of the current technology. The University of Ottawa developed this classroom with a desire to provide a rich, and inspiring students experience, as part of the University's strategic plan, Transformation 2030.
- The room's configuration is set for different uses (small groups such as graduate courses; thesis defenses, meetings of researchers, business meetings, etc.);
- The room is available to the entire university community; access is neither limited nor exclusive and can accommodate up to 36 people.

- The videoconference classroom is equipped with intelligent camera and microphone systems which track the activity of the students inside the room;
- There are 6 tables, equipped with two large monitors, camera, microphone, Windows and Mac computers;
- The touch control system facilitates collaborative work and videoconferencing in all its forms;
- The configuration enables collaboration and active learning;
- The room features a large video wall for presentations and videoconferencing;
- The other walls have large surfaces for writing using dry-erase markers.
