Note: When Outlook email and/or OneDrive storage exceeds the storage limits, they will be considered over quota. Storage limits are subject to change.

  • uOttawa.ca email accounts that are over quota can receive and access emails but cannot send emails until storage is below quota.
  • OneDrive storage that is over quota will have read-only access until storage is below quota

M365 for alumni, retirees and professors emeriti

When students graduate, withdraw or take an extended leave of absence, their eligibility for M365 changes and the license is removed. Alumni that have an employee association or other active affiliation with the University, will retain some M365 eligibility.

Alumni retain access to:

  • uOttawa.ca email with up to 5 GB of storage
  • Calendar services
  • Access to email from anywhere using Outlook on the Web.

Before you graduate or leave the University:

  • For continued email functionality, ensure you’re using less than 5 GB of your email storage.
  • You will lose access to OneDrive, backup your OneDrive datato avoid losing your files/folders.
