Purpose	You can create collaborative workspaces, connect in professional settings, and communicate with employees all from a single suite of tools.
Storage quota	Default Storage Quota \| 100 GB for new sites
Apps integration	SharePoint(when documents are uploaded to the Files tab in a Teams channel, they are stored in a SharePoint site for that specific Teams - each channel in a Teams linked to a folder in a document library of the connected SharePoint site). One Drive (when a user initiates a chat in Teams, any files shared by that user within the chat are stored in their One Drive under MS Teams chat files). Other apps: OneNote, Planner, Stream, Bookings Shifts, Lists.
Supported browser	Latest version of Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge or Chrome. Teams is not supported in Safari.
Limitations	Teams: less than 5,000 members in a Teams. Number of channels per team: 200. Private channels: each team can have a maximum of 30 private channels and each private channel can have a maximum of 250 members. Chats in individual and group chats are automatically removed after 150 days.
Desktop client	Windows users must have Office 2013 or 2016 for Windows 7 and 10. Mac users must have Office 2016 for Mac.
Teams app	To download the Teams app, go to M365 portal.
Get it!	Send us a request through our Self Service portal. Teams requests are approved by the Information Management Team prior to creation.

A1 licence: Available to Faculty clinicians, long-term disability academic or support staff, and casual paid/hourly/unpaid positions, Adjunct Professors and Emeritus Professors.
A5 licence for Faculty: Available to Professors, research associates (except postdoctoral fellows), librarians, power plant and trades personnel in the following groups: SSUO, PIPSC, management positions (NM) and confidential positions (NC).
A5 licence for student: Available to full-time and part-time students, student workers (CUPE, TA/RA, WSP, Scholarships) and for post-docs.

Teams is part of MS 365 service and provided at no cost to eligible users.
