Tony Malaty leads Gartner’s consulting services focused on Canadian Investment and Financial Institutions. His career has been dedicated to raising the level of strategic thought and to leading complex technology-enabled business transformation at top financial institutions and public sector agencies. He has extensive global financial markets experience gained while in London for over 17 years working with leading European and Wall Street capital markets and asset management firms.
Mr. Malaty is an experienced leader at startup firms and leading global professional and IT services firms working across North America, Europe and UAE. He led global client portfolios and growth initiatives, practice/product development, client service delivery, business operations and championed leadership and talent development.
He is recognized as a subject matter expert in business and IT strategy development, digital business transformation planning and execution, increasing the business value of data & analytics and scaling enterprise agility to meet market needs. He advised board members and private equity investors on operational and post-merger integration, led high-impact strategic planning to envision innovative ventures (up to US$500M) for commercializing trading and back office operations, drove post M&A integration and modernization programs to reinvent business and operating models (US$150M+ programs).
Mr. Malaty recently gained the ICD.D designation for Corporate Governance. He is graduate of the University of Ottawa with a B.Sc. Management & Information Systems and B.Sc. Biochemistry.
