Julien Sicard

Biography

Julien Sicard will take office as Vice-President, Advancement, on June 3, 2024. His term will end on June 2, 2029.

Julien Sicard holds an MA from University College Cork (Ireland) and another master’s from the Université de Provence (France). He is a fundraising professional with over 12 years’ experience and success in generating revenue for non-profits and postsecondary institutions. He has extensive expertise in managing teams and in establishing and maintaining long-lasting relationships with stakeholders. He is also very dedicated to economic development, research, fundraising and community impact.


Julien Sicard’s experience in academic philanthropy is outstanding. He was named senior director, institutional development, at the University of Calgary. As part of his duties, he led a dedicated team of fundraising professionals and worked closely with senior managers at the university to design and implement action plans and strategies aimed at increasing fundraising activities.


Julien Sicard has also worked with the National Music Centre in Calgary, as well as the Calgary Francophone Community Centre, where he took on various roles in fundraising and in economic development.
