“Some things will not change – NAFTA2 remains the framework for the relationship and there is little to suggest that will change. China trade stance will probably be similar  and so will the ‘Buy American’ notion, in terms of procurement.

“Climate change will be a priority and the Keystone XL announcement reinforces that the new administration will not be good for the oil sector. Immigration policy will probably become more welcoming which could lessen our temporary advantage in attracting high-tech talent. We can expect more international cooperation and greater predictability, which may be the biggest factor for business.”
