Jessica Whitley (English only)
Associate Professor, Faculty of Education

Professor Whitley can discuss the in-school/class experience of students with exceptionalities.

“The school board's guidelines have raised concerns for me about how the well-being needs of students have been considered alongside safety guidelines.”

Professor Whitley’s recent research also looked at parent experiences of online learning for kids with exceptionalities.

“Our research findings highlight the challenges related to online learning for children for whom sitting in front of a screen and working independently is ineffective or impossible. In general, though, parents were more worried about the social and emotional well-being of their children than they were about academics.”
