Professor Packer has been involved with high-level meetings and field visits to Rohingya refugee camps along the border with Myanmar in his capacity as Special Adviser to the World Refugee Council on the situation in Bangladesh and Myanmar. He has been involved with the situation of the Rohingya since 1992.
Professor Packer can comment on this specific development and its implications, including for the International Court of Justice case to which Canada just announced its intention to intervene.
