“A Throne speech from a minority government is always difficult. Does a government want to trigger an election or appeal for the support of other parties to hang on for another day? In this case, not only is the government in a minority situation but also in the middle of global pandemic. Rarely before has any Canadian government faced such a human and political quagmire.
You can expect the Liberals to provide measures to address both immediate and short term needs while also presenting two to three long term goals, possibly related to climate change.”
