The President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ottawa, Mr. Jacques Frémont, and His Excellency Roy Eriksson, Ambassador of Finland in Canada, invite you to a panel discussion entitled “Advancing Women’s and Girls’ Rights: Harnessing Technology and Innovation in Support of the Economic Empowerment of Women in the Wake of the Pandemic.”

Canada and Finland are long-standing advocates of human rights, especially women’s rights, including through the Generation Equality Forum.  With research and academia playing an important role in fostering women and girls’ education and economic empowerment, this webinar aims to highlight key achievements to date, along with challenges and opportunities for collaboration to advance women’s and girls’ rights and women’s economic empowerment, particularly in the wake of the pandemic.

The presentations will be followed by a question period.
