The Department of Psychiatry’s Annual Research Day will delve into ‘Climate change and mental health.’

This peer-led discussion will address the implications of global climate change for mental health with attention both to global health and issues specific to Canada. It will also touch on the growing disparities generated by climate risks, including homelessness.

  • Dr. Sean Kidd, Division Chief of Psychology, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and Associate Professor, University of Toronto.
  • Dr. Katie Hayes, climate change and mental health researcher based in Canada.
  • Dr. Nicole Redvers, Assistant Professor, Department of Family and Community Medicine, University of North Dakota.
  • Dr. Simon Hatcher (moderator), Vice Chair and Full Professor, Department of Psychiatry, University of Ottawa.
