The University of Ottawa is partnering with CENGN, Canada’s Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks, to be the first University in Canada to offer cloud computing specialist certification to professionals and the general public.
OTTAWA, January 27, 2021 – The University of Ottawa’s Professional Development Institute (PDI) and the Faculty of Engineering is partnering with CENGN to revitalize professional development learning opportunities in cloud computing.
Join us Thursday, January 28th, for the launch of this exciting new program providing self-paced online training content, lab infrastructure and certification exams for the CENGN Cloud System Specialist (CCSS). Hear from Canadian Tech Leaders on the importance of talent development and training to stimulate industry growth and success in our innovation economy.
The uOttawa-CENGN partnership establishes a knowledge hub between industry, public sector and academia, offering innovative learning platforms that drive competencies and leadership. This exciting new partnership ensures the next generation of cloud systems specialists and graduates of this program will be some of the most sought out experts of the industry.
Added to uOttawa’s higher education leadership, CENGN Academy provides practical skills and industry credentials through engaging self-paced training with enhanced learner support. Learners will also have the unique opportunity to conduct hands-on labs on the commercial grade CENGN Testbed.

The event features several speakers, including a special guest presentation from Ibrahim Gedeon, TELUS’ CTO, who will share insights on how to enable innovation; and how organizations are addressing today’s challenges of technology being global and the rise of non-traditional competition.
