The lawyers of tomorrow are invited to gather today at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law... in the game of Minecraft.
Since attending in person isn’t possible, the Faculty of Law is inviting its students—as well as gamers and curious members of the University community—to attend the inauguration of a virtual Fauteux Hall at 5 p.m.
Civil Law professors Thomas Burelli and Alexandre Lillo – co-holders of the Faculty’s new research chair in teaching innovation – are asking the public to participate in a real time on a tour of the building, including interactions with key figures from the Faculty.
“One of the main university experiences is seeing people, meeting people, making friends,” says Professor Lillo. “We hope that this experience will create bonds that will last throughout students’ time at University,” adds Professor Burelli.
