Remembering Mehraban, Saeed and Alma…
January 8, 2021 marks the one-year anniversary of the downing of Ukrainian International Airlines flight from Tehran, Iran that tragically killed 176 people, including three University of Ottawa students.
To commemorate this solemn occasion, uOttawa’s Iranian Student Association and the University of Ottawa invite you to a virtual memorial ceremony to honour the memories of Mehraban Badiei Ardestani, Saeed Kadkhodazadeh Kashani and Alma Oladi.
A virtual condolence book will be available during the ceremony. People are also invited to contribute to the Iranian Student Memorial Scholarship Fund of the University of Ottawa. The uOttawa flags will be lowered to half-mast in memory of our three students, and all the victims of this tragic accident.
