To succeed in the new economy, Canadian students must arrive in the workforce equipped with internationally-focused skills and experiences. The University of Ottawa invites you to attend the official launch of the uOGlobal recognition program, which encourages students to get involved in cross-cultural activities. The goal of uOGlobal recognition is to progress beyond what students learn in university, to expose them to international experiences and allow them to see the value of studying, working or doing research abroad. This unique program provides opportunities to acquire the tools, values and skills needed to succeed in today’s global economy.
Power Corporation of Canada, formerly led by the late Paul Desmarais Sr., whose family has deep ties with uOttawa, will be announcing a major gift to the uOGlobal recognition program during the launch. This generous contribution will help support students interested in gaining significant international experience through volunteering, CO-OP terms, student exchanges and field research.
