Statement from President Frémont on the death of a uOttawa student:
Dear Members of the University Community,
I am saddened to share the news of the death of a member of our student community.
On behalf of uOttawa, I offer my condolences to the student’s family, friends and loved ones, and to everyone who knew the student.
Our immediate priority is to offer support to the family and to members of the university community. I encourage students and employees who feel they could benefit from counselling and support to avail themselves of services listed below.
The identity of the student will not be disclosed out of respect for the family’s privacy. With this in mind, we ask that you be caring, discrete and respectful of the student’s family and friends in your use of social media as it relates to this incident.
