The University of Ottawa is proud to announce its partnership with Pride at Work Canada/Fierté au travail Canada. Pride at Work Canada works with Canadian employers to build workplaces that celebrate all employees and their gender expressions, gender identities, and sexual orientations.

As one of Canada’s leading institutions for higher education, equity, diversity and inclusion are part of the University’s core values. This partnership will bring uOttawa one step closer to assuring a safer and more inclusive environment for all LGBTQ2+ students, faculty and staff while supporting its vision for the university of tomorrow.

Pride at Work Canada was founded in 2008 by a group of dedicated volunteers who sought to put LGBTQ2+ inclusion on the agenda of Canada’s largest employers. Twelve years later, it now employs staff and boasts over 150 employer members and dozens of community partners from coast to coast, including Vancouver, Calgary , Montréal, Ottawa, Halifax, and St. John’s.

The University of Ottawa is the largest bilingual (English-French) university in the world. Located at the heart of Canada’s capital, its advances in social sciences, health, engineering, science and the humanities make it a unique place to learn, grow and excel.
