The Startup Garage now has a complimentary program, and the University of Ottawa’s Entrepreneurship Hub is thrilled to announce the first cohort of the Scaleup Garage, an eight-month program to help foster and support startups led by students and recent alumni. The great success enjoyed by the Startup Garage over the years inspired the creation and establishment of this new program in August 2019.
As its name implies, the Scaleup Garage aims to help startups scale up their operations and increase month-over-month growth. It will provide resources, such as professional connections, office and desk space at the STEM Complex, as well as entrepreneurs and professionals who will act as mentors for the students and recent graduates whose startup will be selected.
Brought to you by the University of Ottawa, the Scaleup Garage leverages critical support from Invest Ottawa and FedDev Ontario through the Scaleup Platform. A collaborative effort among three of Canada’s leading innovation Hubs – Invest Ottawa, Communitech, and MaRS Discovery District – the Scaleup Platform features programs and services that aim to help more high-potential firms attract customers, talent, sales and capital, and become $100M anchor firms for the Canadian economy.
