We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic death of one of our students in a residence off campus.

On behalf of our uOttawa community of students, faculty, staff and alumni, I wish to express our heartfelt condolences to the student’s family, friends and classmates during this very difficult time. We wish to respect the family’s privacy so we will not be providing further details.

In light of this, we ask that you please keep in mind our student’s family, friends and colleagues when posting messages on social media. Please be mindful of the potential impact that some messages may have. Although most messages are published in goodwill, we ask that you exercise judgement.
