Call for workshop proposals

May 14, 2024, marked a memorable occasion in the history of Francophone education. On that day, the Fédération internationale des professeurs de français(FIPF) and the Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI) ratified a historic memorandum of understanding. The agreement, designed to promote the teaching of French around the world, is the very first collaborative initiative between the FIPF and a Canadian university. It also testifies to the two organizations’ unwavering commitment to Francophone linguistic and cultural diversity.

This agreement will launch a first mobilization, entitled Université de printemps – Carrefour et mobilités francophones, which will take place from May 8 to 13, 2025. This gathering, organized by and for teachers and key stakeholders in the international Francophonie, consists of two parts. The first part will involve flexible participation in the CCERBAL 2025 Biennial Conference: Bilingualism and multilingualism: Diverse perspectives from diverse contexts. The second part will take the form of practical workshops offering specialized training, addressing not only to the needs of the profession, but also to the sharing of projects, challenges and success stories.
