The European Day of Languages takes place September 26. The day is meant to raise public awareness of the importance of language learning and the preservation of our linguistic heritage. That’s why OLBI is organizing a human library that same day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Julien Couture Resource Centre (Hamelin Hall 02).

This will allow you to discover the rich and often surprising backgrounds of members of the University community, who will talk with participants about their connection to language and culture. OLBI is pleased to offer this activity jointly with the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures.

The European Day of Languages is sponsored and coordinated by the
European Centre for Modern Languages (ECML).  OLBI is pleased to be the ECML contact in Canada.
