What was your last career change?
My last career change was in May 2023 when I joined the Academic Services team as Senior Manager. Prior to this, I was working with the Workday project team managing integrations as the Solutions Architect.
What made it successful?
As I have only been in the position since May 15th, I am still learning and figuring things out. What is making it a successful transition is the team. Each team member is very knowledgeable in operational processes and projects. They are always ready to help answer my many questions. The previous Senior Managers worked closely with the team ensuring good collaboration and open communication as well as with client relationships.
What was the biggest challenge in adapting to your new role?
The biggest challenge is ramping up on all the projects and day to day activities of the team. So much to learn, understand and remember.
What do you look forward to in your day?
I look forward to all the interactions I get to have with colleagues. It’s the people that make the job and the IT team is a great bunch.
What is your favourite chocolate bar?
Anything dark chocolate.
What should never be found on a poutine?
Anything that is not cheese curds or gravy. I’m always disappointed when I try a fancy poutine. Classic is the way to go.
