Senior Director, IT Solutions
To offer growth and development opportunities, Daniel Trottier's former position will be filled on an interim basis by three of our colleagues:
- Eric Tremblay, IT Manager, Academic Services and Planning
- Ilva Peci, IT Manager, Student Affairs
- Ingrid Hernandez Remedios, Solutions Architect, Administrative Services Modernization Program
They will share the role for a period of 6-8 months each while a formal recruitment process is initiated to find a permanent replacement.
Eric Tremblay will assume the role first for 6 to 8 months beginning January 24. Eric started at the University in January 2015 on the SIS Replacement Project where he managed faculty and service retrofits. He also participated in the implementation of the uoCampus support process and stabilization until 2019 when was appointed IT Manager of the uoCampus team. Since then, he and his team have completed several upgrade projects including PeopleSoft 9.2, and several satellite systems such as Infosilem, Talisma, Xtender, etc.
Ilva Peci joined the University in February 2014. During her time, she has had the opportunity to lead different ITS portfolios. Ilva was one of the key contributors in the uoCampus ERP implementation and is now leading key initiatives such as the One Card Program.
Ingrid Remedios joined our team in February 2015 as the IT Manager for the Web Services team. She successfully led and delivered the migration of over 300 uOttawa websites to our centralized Drupal platform. She undertook the responsibility to also manage the students’ and employees’ portals and led several key initiatives on these portfolios. In 2020, she joined the Administrative Services Modernization Program, where she plays a key role as Solutions Architect and Technical Lead. She provides technical leadership in the Workday implementation and the overall evolution of the Human Resources and Finance portfolio, and ecosystems of applications.
Senior Director, Infrastructure and Operations
We are pleased to announce the official start of Jean-Ray Arsenault’s appointmentto Senior Director, Infrastructure and Operations beginning January 24, for a term of approximately 7 months. Jean-Ray will succeed Alex Dipietro who has occupied this role for the past 8 months.
Thank you, Alex for the extraordinary work accomplished over the past 8 months. He was able to get involved very quickly in several important files for IT, but above all, he continued to build collaborations within our teams and the community. We would also like to thank Jean-François Billette for his excellent work and the initiatives he took when he was interim manager for the Collaboration group.
Interim Manager, IT Security
As previously announced, Jean-François Billette was appointed to the position of interim manager, IT Security. He had served as interim manager for the Collaboration group and will now serve as interim replacement for Jean-Ray.
