“Primary care is the cornerstone of any high functioning healthcare system. The announcement this week that the Ontario government will invest $1.8B to ensure that all Ontarians have access to primary care over the next five years, is a hugely important step forward on the challenging road to a healthcare system that functions well for all. It will make progress towards all Ontarians being able to thrive, without the overwhelming burden of chronic disease.”
