LEAP program

Led by Reza Farzi and Parvin Movassat, LEAP is an upcoming online program designed to help federal employees independently build language skills and support the bilingual nature of the Public Service.

LEAP will be a valuable tool for supporting bilingualism in Canada.” — Reza Farzi, Director, Undergraduate Studies Program, OLBI

LEAP is a valuable tool that will give federal public servants the desire and confidence to meet their bilingualism goals. As well, it will open up new career possibilities for them and ensure a dynamic future for bilingualism in Canada.

Real-World Communication for Remote Environments program

Since the shift to online education during the pandemic, engaging authentically across distance has remained a challenge.

OLBI Professor David Pratt’s Real-World Communication for Remote Environments empowers students to create meaningful interactions and fosters a sense of connection, ensuring that technology brings people closer together rather than pushing them apart.

By equipping students with the tools for genuine, effective dialogue, this program transforms remote communication into an opportunity for deeper engagement and collaboration.
