The University of Ottawa's Forum on Water Law and Governance is at COP 15 in Montreal from 7 to 19 December.

COP 15 aims to focus on the protection of nature and the means (including financial) to be deployed in order to preserve biodiversity, which is declining at an alarming rate worldwide with one million species threatened with extinction. Biological diversity goes beyond plants, the animal kingdom, micro-organisms and their ecosystems. It also concerns human beings who need food security, and a healthy environment, which includes clean air and water.
