Home page and general look and feel

Tagging Publications will now be managed via References

In the current version of UNIWeb that we use, making one of the publications from Academic CV publicly accessible was done through the <Add Tags> functionality, where you would select one publication or more and tag it with one of your research interests from your profile.

In the new version that will be coming soon, this functionality has changed and is now done via the <References> available at the home page.  This new feature allows a more streamlined approach and aligns with industry standards around references.  New references can be quickly added using the built in wizard to help you either import references from your Academic CV, or from external sources.

The main driving reasons of this change from the platform was to showcase a more streamlined approach of References, enhanced its usability and provide larger control to the users on which references are publicly available and which are not.  It is no longer a ‘hidden’ feature that was solely available through ‘tags’ but has shifted all the flexibility and power into the users and their collaborators to manage a cohesive list of references that are standards in the field.

Managing your list of publications within your Academic CV remains a feature that allows you to keep that list up to date for its intended purpose.
