The English intensive program
The English intensive program at uOttawa is designed to help you learn language skills, academic abilities, and intercultural knowledge. It will make you succeed in your program of study as well as in your future career. You'll be given tools to better understand and communicate ideas with others. You'll benefit from many opportunities to practice your English with your peers.
Accelerated academic bridging in English (ESL 0140)
The accelerated academic bridging in English course will help you make a smooth transition from high school to university in Canada. With our carefully designed curriculum, you’ll strengthen your academic language skills and gain confidence to tackle the challenges of university life.
uOttawa English experience program
The uOttawa English experience summer program focuses on practicing English through participation. Students will develop their language skills and acquire intercultural communication skills for everyday life. During the 3- , 4- or 7-week program, you’ll be fully immersed in an English-speaking environment in Canada’s capital.
Express pathway program
The express pathway program offers you the opportunity to participate in an innovative admissions program through the combination of customized testing and highly effective English language training to support your admission into undergraduate programs at the University of Ottawa.
