Fréchet, Jean

Jean Fréchet is the Henry Rapoport Chair of Organic Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley. His research has centred on the areas of organic, macromolecular and materials chemistry, and has led to significant scientific advances, as well as new commercial products, technologies and processes. Nearly all of today’s state-of-the-art microprocessors and memory chips are produced using a chemically amplified resist derived from concepts developed by Professor Fréchet and his research partners.
