Lee, Yuan Tseh

The first Nobel Prize winner of Taiwanese origin, chemist Yuan T. Lee pursued scientific knowledge that promised a better standard of living for his fellow Taiwanese citizens. He has since used his considerable influence and prestige to better the life of the Taiwanese people by furthering the cause of democracy and improving the education system.
