The program in Classics covers the civilizations of Greece and Rome in their entirety: Greek and Latin languages and literatures, ancient history, art and archaeology, religion, mythology, and philosophy.
The programs in Classical Studies are similar but do not require a knowledge of Greek or Latin.
The Department of Classics and Religious Studies also participates in the multidisciplinary programs of Mediaeval Studies, Classics and Philosophy, and Latin and English Studies.
