The courses taught by the Department of Philosophy give students the skills they need to subject basic beliefs and theories to rigorous, critical examination. On the strength of this training, students can better evaluate philosophical schools of thought and thus become more keenly aware of the implications of adopting particular principles to resolve issues and problems.
