Rédaction professionnelle et édition

The Département de français has launched two new programs, a minor and a certificate in rédaction professionnelle et édition. These programs involve specialized training designed for positions requiring not only a thorough mastery of the French language, but also both theoretical and practical knowledge of the tools (including computer-based) and processes used in professional settings (institutions, businesses, public service, public relations, media, etc.).

The minor targets undergraduate students from all faculties looking for complementary training that qualifies them for positions with writing or publishing responsibilities.

The certificate is designed for persons who already hold positions that involve writing responsibilities (information officers, journalists, free-lance columnists, executive secretaries, advertising specialists, public relations officers, etc,) and now want to sharpen their skills in the area. The program also suits anyone in the workforce looking to redirect his or her career toward the field of writing, or even students with undergraduate training in another discipline who want complementary skills that can broaden their career options.
