Health Sciences
The Honours Bachelor in Health Sciences, an innovative program offered in both English and French, is truly one of a kind.
Its goal is to challenge future professionals to make a fresh contribution to the study of the social, biological and environmental factors affecting health. It uses an interdisciplinary approach to familiarize students with the health issues that individuals and communities, both across Canada and around the world, wrestle with every day.
Students explore a range of fields, including human anatomy and physiology, microbiology and immunology, pharmacology, communication and health, health program planning and evaluation, nutritional determinants of health, and bioethics, to name but a few.
With its solid commitment to excellence, the program takes an integrated approach to the study of health sciences. Graduates are ready to take on an array of responsibilities in both public and private agencies or to pursue master's-level professional training in audiology, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology and physiotherapy.
Another unique feature of this program is that it can also lead to medicine, the Master's of Science in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences or graduate studies in epidemiology or health administration.
