SERVICES OFFERED BY THE SCHOOL
PEER HELPING SERVICE
The peer helping service is a program designed to support new
students. Our peer helpers are senior students who have a good
knowledge of campus life and who can provide information,
understanding and assistance to new students throughout the first
session. Their aim is to help first year students adjust to the
university system.
For more information, please contact the academic secretariat by
calling at (613) 562-5800, ext. 6178, or by e-mail at
[email protected].
ENGINEERING COMPUTING FACILITY
The engineering computing facility is located in Colonel By Hall, on
the first floor, in the B wing. The facility consists of six
undergraduate laboratories, one graduate laboratory and
multimedia classrooms. Accounts on these systems are available
to all undergraduate students in the Faculty of Engineering.
All systems in the engineering computing facility are networked
and have Internet access. For more information visit our Web site
at www.genie.uottawa.ca. Individual programs may have additional
computing facilities.
