General Baccalaureate in Arts
The general Baccalaureate in Arts is an individualized program allowing students to acquire a liberal education encompassing several disciplines.
The program has two complementary components. First, it offers students courses providing a strong formation in critical as well as logical thinking and writing. Second, students admitted to the program design their course of study according to their own needs and special interests: they can choose courses or groups of courses that will give them the multifaceted education required by our ever-changing society.
The completion of the general baccalaureate in arts gives the student the opportunity to pursue a specialization in one of a number of disciplines and subsequently to embark on graduate studies.
This program also constitutes an excellent preparation for admission to professional programs such as law, medecine, education, and other professional programs.
In designing their program, students are urged to consult with the academic advisors at the Faculty of Arts.
