CLA courses do not require knowledge of Latin or Greek. Certain courses in the program are taught interchangeably in English or French, and students may expect to have classes and readings in both languages. However, students may do their assignments and examinations, and may participate in class in the language of their choice.

Although most of the following 3000-level courses have no formal prerequisites, a background knowledge of the subject is generally required. Please consult the department for information on specific courses.
