Résumé

L’atelier propose une approche interactive et critique pour comprendre les défis et opportunités liés au développement de compétences numériques chez les jeunes et le personnel enseignant. Les participantes et les participants exploreront les notions d’inégalités linguistiques numériques et de littératies numériques en milieu minoritaire, tout en découvrant des stratégies concrètes pour intégrer ces concepts dans leurs pratiques pédagogiques. Des activités pratiques, des discussions collaboratives et des études de cas inspirées des recherches récentes alimenteront la réflexion.

Objectifs pédagogiques :

  1. Comprendre les inégalités linguistiques numériques
  2. Explorer des stratégies pédagogiques innovantes
  3. Promouvoir la participation numérique en français

Megan Cotnam-Kappel

Associate Professor and Associate to the Dean, Francophone portfolio, Faculty of Education

Megan Cotnam-Kappel is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean at the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa, where she holds the Research Chair on the Digital Thriving of Franco-Ontarian Communities. She holds a joint PhD from the University of Ottawa and the Université de Corse Pascal Paoli and is recognized for her work on digital literacies, innovative digital pedagogies, and digital equity. She has collaborated on major initiatives with UNESCO, the LEGO Foundation, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). Leading a diverse team of graduate students, she has secured over $6 million in research funding. Passionate about critical and participatory approaches, she is committed to co-creating educational solutions with and for members of minority language communities, contributing to strengthening their presence and agency in digital spaces. A dedicated Franco-Ontarian, she is a key figure in educational innovation serving Francophone communities in linguistic minority settings.
