There is a sense of fulfilment that comes with knowing you’ve helped others. Behind many uOttawa events is a team of volunteer alumni who have committed their time and energy to ensure our campus continues to be a great place. Our volunteers are located both in Ottawa and in countries worldwide.

So whether you’ve got a couple of hours to spare or are looking for a retirement pastime, volunteering with uOttawa is a great way to meet new people, stay connected with your alma mater and make a tangible difference in the lives of the students who will follow in your footsteps.

• Mentor a student through the first years of their career. 

• Welcome guests at a virtual or in-person event. 

• Become a Reunion Ambassador and get your graduating class back together to relive all the memories. 

• Inspire and inform current uOttawa students by sharing your career journey to help them visualize their career path. 

• Host a uOttawa student in a co-op placement.  

• Serve as a Social Media Ambassador and promote our activities online.  

• Get engaged with the Alumni Association or Regional Council in your area.
