This new pharmacy concept provides a different and welcoming pharmacy experience, featuring a user-friendly space with digital screens and private consultation rooms. You can also consult any staff member for help with your health-related questions. The Pharmacy Care Clinic pharmacist is now a member of the interdisciplinary team of health professionals that form the Student Health and Wellness Centre circle of care. 

The pharmacy team can:

• Answer any of your questions about medications, including those you can buy over the counter (without a prescription)

  Free of charge

• Fill or renew your prescription (if there’s no change to the prescription)

  Fee: $15.00

• Assess a minor ailment, such as a urinary tract infection or pink eye, and prescribe medication for the ailment

  Fee: covered for OHIP patients and $19 for non-OHIP patients

• Administer injections

  Fee: $20.00 (except for flu and Covid-19 vaccines, which are free of charge.)

• Provide testing

  Fee:  $25.00 for HbA1c and $35.00 for lipid profile

Consultations about over-the-counter medications are free for everyone (students, faculty, staff members and the community at large).

All other services may or may not be covered by your health insurance plan. If a service is not covered by your insurance plan, you will be required to pay for the service yourself.

Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) covers all services offered at the pharmacy, except for certain vaccines. Anyone with a Universal Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) or out-of-province insurance plan can seek services for minor ailments at the Student Health and Wellness Centre, which accepts these health insurance plans, or pay the fee ($19) at the Pharmacy Care Clinic.
