Students against stigma

This initiative is a collaboration between the then-active SFUO, student services, administration, and local organizations. In 2015, they have organized the first annual Students Against Stigma Week, which aimed to “bring visibility to topics that often go unexplored; as well as to provide funding for local charities and services that will create a positive impact for students on the uOttawa campus.”

Brain Buddies is a uOttawa student and researcher organization that aims to “raise public awareness on brain function & health.”

Health promotion’s mental health team

Health Promotion’s mental health team “is made up of 10 Peer Educators and 1 Team Leader who care about mental health well-being and reducing the levels of stress and anxiety on campus. This dynamic team of students adopts a peer to peer education method to talk to students and staff on campus about Self-Care, Stigma, Tips, and tools on how to reduce stress, the benefits of smiling, and many more.”
