This summer from July 8th to the 12th, AISFL is holding its 22nd Congress, “Sciences, Savoirs et Sociétés” here at the University of Ottawa. Volunteers are needed to help prepare for and ensure the success of the international conference. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to meet more than 1,000 Social Science specialists from over 30 different countries! Specialists will be sharing their expertise and discussing the role of scientific knowledge in our society today, making this a truly inspiring learning opportunity for volunteers to take part in. Volunteers will be offered a free meal and a complimentary t-shirt. *Please note that participants must speak and understand French.

Volunteering for the development of contact lists
Community Partner: Ligue des droits et libertés, VIRTUEL
The Ligue des droits et libertés is looking for an Excel-savvy student to take on the task of creating a contact list. They are hoping to collect contacts within the field of environmental concerns; ecologists, environmentalists, environmental university programs, etc. Students will be welcomed into the world of human rights in this position; don't be shy, put this on your CV!

Volunteer Runners
Community Partner: Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de l’Outaouais (CISSSO) - Gatineau, QC.
We've got quite the workout for you! If you can run 5km or more at a time, you might like this placement. But if you can run 5km or more while pushing a wheelchair, this placement is perfect for you. This may sound like a difficult task, but it will be well worth it for the joy you'll bring to a disabled youth! We're looking for volunteers to take on 1-2 of the following dates: Monday, July 8th from 6pm to 7:30pm, Monday, August 19 from 6pm to 7:30pm and/or Monday, September 16 from 6pm to 7:30pm.

Ambassadors for Golf Familial
Community partner: Maison Mathieu-Froment-Savoie- Gatineau, QC.
The Maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie is hosting its annual Golf Clasic on July 5th! They're looking for volunteers to assist with welcoming participants (placement number 318), in decorating the venue (placement number 319), in taking down/dissassembling the event (placement number 321) and in helping with the golf competition (placement number 322). All students will need to procure their own transportation.
